At YouGlo Medical Aesthetic Clinic, we are committed to delivering safe, ethical, and evidence-based medical aesthetic treatments in line with UK regulatory standards and professional best practice. Our policies reflect the principles set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Save Face, and the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP).
All clients must undergo a full medical consultation prior to treatment. This includes a comprehensive medical history, risk assessment, and suitability evaluation. Consultations are carried out by a suitably trained and qualified medical professional.
Treatment will only proceed if it is clinically appropriate and in the client’s best interests. YouGlo follows a patient-centred approach, ensuring all decisions are made ethically, safely, and transparently.
Written informed consent is required before any medical aesthetic procedure. Clients will be fully informed of:
Consent is obtained without pressure and may be withdrawn at any time prior to treatment.
YouGlo strictly adheres to UK legislation and professional guidance. Clients must be 18 years or older to receive any aesthetic treatment. Proof of age may be requested. Certain treatments may have additional eligibility criteria based on medical suitability.
Clients are required to disclose accurate and complete medical information, including current medications, medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status. This information is essential to ensure safe treatment planning.
YouGlo cannot be held responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from withheld or inaccurate medical information.
Prescription-only medicines (POMs), including botulinum toxin, are prescribed following a face-to-face consultation by an appropriately qualified prescriber, in line with UK regulations and professional standards.
All medicines are sourced from licensed UK pharmacies and stored, handled, and administered safely.
Where required, patch testing is mandatory and must be completed within the recommended timeframe before treatment. Treatment will not proceed without a satisfactory patch test result.
Results of medical aesthetic treatments vary between individuals. While we aim to achieve optimal outcomes, results cannot be guaranteed. Some treatments may require multiple sessions or maintenance appointments.
Comprehensive aftercare advice is provided for all treatments. Clients are expected to follow aftercare instructions to reduce risks and support optimal healing and results.
Follow-up or review appointments may be offered where clinically indicated. Prompt communication is encouraged if clients experience unexpected reactions or concerns.
All procedures carry inherent risks. YouGlo has clear protocols in place for managing complications and adverse events, in accordance with clinical best practice and professional guidance. Client safety remains our highest priority.
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or non-attendance may result in a fee or forfeiture of deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.
Due to the medical nature of aesthetic treatments, refunds are not provided for treatments that have been administered. Any concerns will be reviewed fairly and professionally, with appropriate aftercare or review offered where clinically appropriate.
Clinical photographs may be taken to support medical records, treatment planning, and outcome assessment. Marketing use of images will only occur with explicit written consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
All client information is handled confidentially and stored securely in compliance with UK data protection legislation, including GDPR. Personal data will only be shared where legally required or with client consent.
YouGlo reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe, unsuitable, or not in the client’s best medical or ethical interest. This aligns with professional duty of care obligations.
We are committed to continuous improvement. If you wish to raise a concern or complaint, please contact the clinic directly so it can be addressed promptly, fairly, and professionally.
These policies are reviewed regularly and may be updated to reflect changes in legislation, regulatory guidance, or clinical best practice. The most current version will always be available on our website.
